Tim moved to Ramona in the mid 80’s to start a farm and raise his family. Both he, and his brother Neil, worked regular day jobs “down the hill”.
The opening phrase in the song “The Happy Train” was coined by Neil one day when the two discussing the traffic on the way home. The phrase stuck with both of them. The long commute they made “up the hill” each weekday was made more enjoyable by focusing on the destination, Our Ramona.
Many years later Tim put the idea into a poem that grabbed the attention of Ashley E Norton. Ashley helped Tim turn the poem into the first song he had written.
