Ramona Country Life

by Danielle Hughes
Ground squirrels chirping in the distance
Bird songs in the air
A cool wind blows across my face, I think am I really here?
I look up into that big blue sky and sun is going down
Just another glorious day in this Ramona Town
The evening comes with starry skies
That old Milky Way
I tried to count the stars one night,
There’s just no way
The morning comes and the fog rolls in
From May until July
How can you not fall in love with Ramona country life?
(Chorus)
And the ocean’s just a stone’s throw away
Rocky mountains rim the horizon
They’re calling my name…..
And people come and they go every day
I’ll keep wishing them the best,
But Ramona’s where I’ll stay…
Ramona’s got her traditions
Every Thursday night
Old car shows and dance halls
Then go grab a bite
From any one of the restaurants
That have been here for years
We’ve even got a brewery making local beers
(Chorus)
Now I could tell you more about our Ramona town
Muriel’s that adorn the shops
Musicians all around
You walk around, and it won’t take long
Till you see someone you know
Just another reason
You still won’t want to go!

The Ramona Music Alliance (RMA) was founded in 2022 by local musicians Jon Hasz and Ashley E. Norton.
The idea is to make the amazing music scene that is already organically growing into an official organization.
The goal is to continue to encourage and support live music venues and each other,
help build audiences and share information and resources.
Ramona is a happy place with great music and wine!
We hope to expand and continue to watch it grow together, as the amazing community we are.
